Dressing Up with Duo: Back to School in Style

September 1st has come and gone, and University Avenue is buzzing with students once again. Back to school shopping doesn’t have to be all knee-length skirts, varsity jackets, and oxfords. In fact, it can and should be a little bit edgy and a lot a bit versatile.

Right around The Corner on Elliewood Avenue, Duo is ready to dress you for fall, from newly stocked moto pants, sweaters, and scarves downstairs to gently worn jackets, dresses, and booties upstairs.

For this installment of Dressing Up with Duo, I was inspired by fall layers with a little edge – cue French Connection leather vest and Denimocracy moto pants. The Comme Toi striped top caught my eye as both a staple piece for layering and as a unique take on the striped top with the gathered back. Throw on a pair of booties from the gently worn section upstairs and some fun, new accessories from downstairs, and this outfit was ready for a stroll on Grounds – Meet me after class by our tree. The versatility of these pieces is endless, and that’s exactly what fall layering is all about.
