Top Picks
A favorite dish in town.
Mas Tapas in Belmont — Tomates Asados. I just keep ordering more and more, and I’m always tempted to drink the flavorful, rosemary infused olive oil after the smokey tomatoes are gone.
A favorite drink in town.
Alley Light on 2nd Street — Dealers Choice. I love to go into Alley Light and order whatever special new cocktail is on the board or let the bartenders create something brilliant with rum or whiskey. They’re so on point. Every spontaneous drink they’ve whipped up for me has been well balanced, creative and delicious.
A favorite local gallery/venue to see art.
Telegraph Gallery on 4th St. — It’s the raddest weird and unique collection of work from emerging artists, with a pretty heavy focus on pop art. I love browsing their ever changing gallery, which both makes me laugh unexpectedly and think deeply. It’s also my go-to for buying graphic novels and the occasional impulse zine or print purchase.
