Some days we go through life uninspired, and it’s those days we seem most unproductive and unhappy. Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey is the antithesis of those days.
Filipino-American Director Ramona Diaz shows the rags to riches story of a Filipino boy with a voice and story to inspire the world.
Don’t Stop Believin’ presents the age old tale of ‘dreams really do come true’ through the true story of Filipino born, Arnel Pineda. Pineda grew up with a love for music that his mother nurtured in him as well as signing him up for many singing competitions. Then, at the beginning of his teen years, his mother passed away from heart disease. His siblings were scattered within the extended family and he lived and slept mostly on the park benches in his northern Philippine city of Manila. This documentary tells the account of how he went from homeless to frontman of one of America’s most popular and lucrative rock bands ever… Journey.
On Sunday November, 4th at 1:30pm at The Paramount Theater, The Virginia Film Festival will show Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey with a live introduction by 106.1 The Corner’s radio personality and local celebrity, Brad Savage. Savage is a music enthusiast who has brought great music to our airwaves for years. Exposing us to some amazing new bands, he also reminds us of the greatness of the ones before, and for these reasons he will start off the afternoon showing with a few words and that infectious smile of his.
