Grammy nominated, American humorist David Sedaris once said, “If you aren’t cute, you may as well be clever” and if you find yourself without any Monday plans, you may as well get yourself some tickets to see what else this funny man has to say.
For one night only, Sedaris will be taking Charlottesville by storm with his scalpel-sharp sarcasm and insightful social jabs. Those in attendance will enjoy side-splitting, all-new readings of his work and an up close and personal book signing.
Sedaris is loved and applauded for his cunning observations of the human experience and honest accounts of what makes society tick. His works regularly appear in The New Yorker and have been twice-recognized in the collection of “The Best American Essays.” Some of his bestsellers include his personal essays entitled, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and When You Are Engulfed in Flames.
So put away that brief case, leave those dishes behind and bring your sense of humor to see Sedaris in action. The event takes place on Monday, April 11 from 7:30-9pm at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Performing Arts Center located on 1400 Melbourne Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901. Admission ranges from $43-48. Let loose and laugh!
