A favorite local musician.
I am totally rooting for Hunter Wolfe & ARE – a great brother/sister rockin’ blues/garage duo based out of Louisa. They are just fantastic, their 7″ single is awesome, and they are playing a lot of gigs, touring, and working hard! Pay attention to this group; they are on-the-rise!
A favorite local music venue.
We are fortunate to have many great music venues in this town, but The Southern (and its predecessor Gravity Lounge) are near and dear to my heart. Recently, we celebrated 106.1 The Corner’s 8th Birthday with Meiko, Charlie Mars, and Mike Doughty at The Southern. It was great.
A favorite local shopping destination.
Plan 9 Music, Sidetracks, and Melody Supreme – because it is important to enjoy physical media music. Support Indie Record Stores!

It’s clear that this guy loves radio. […]
