We’re back in action and very excited about these upcoming events! If you haven’t already heard about Common Ground Healing Arts over in the Jefferson School City Center make sure to check them out. Free yoga classes all this week and some great deals on wellness packages till Monday!

Charlottesville Soup is also an up and coming group that we’re so excited about. Their first dinner is this Monday.

SOUP is a seasonal public dinner series to support creative projects right here in Charlottesville. At each SOUP, attendees give a $10 donation at the door and in return they receive soup, salad, bread, pie, and a vote.

These are the finalists that will be featured at this Monday’s dinner:

  • The Bantam Theater, a new micro-cinema project organized by Jason Lappa & Jayson Whitehead.
  • Rotundra, a zine project featuring work by local artists to be distributed for free during the Virginia Festival of the Book. Organized by Warren Craghead.
  • Charlottesville Circus Arts, a new low-cost circus & folk arts program that will offer a 6-week workshop series organized by Jenny Benson & Craig Green.
  • Verbs and Vibes Open Mic, a poetry and music event series organized by Anthony Amos & Camisha Jones.
  • Charlottesville Area Textile Cooperative, a new group that wants to teach textile skills to a broader audience. Led by Donna Carty & Joanie Freeman.

Hope to see you guys out and about town this beautiful weekend. Make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter to get the full listing of events this week!
