Charlottesville Ballet: Mainstage One Performance

Craving a night at the ballet? A night of glamour, grace and glissades?

Charlottesville Ballet is the area’s shining star (and only) ballet company, and has proven to be a formidable presence in the contemporary dance scene in Cville, as well.

Join Charlottesville Ballet this Saturday, October 20th, 7:30pm for their Mainstage One Performance, at PVCC’s V. Earl Dickinson Building.

The show will feature classical dance – such as the Pas de Trois from Swan Lake – as well as new contemporary pieces by company and guest choreographers – such as a visual art piece inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper, and choreographed by Ariadne Conner, founder of Charlottesville Ballet. The show will also premiere a new work choreographed by Pittsburgh-based choreographer Peter LeBreton Merz – a multimedia piece inspired by the poems of E.E. Cummings – as well as a world premiere by guest choreographer Colby Damon.

The company, now in its fifth performing season, continues to grow since it was founded in 2007, and now has a ballet academy in Stanardsville.
