Big Blue Door Jam @ Sweethaus

High school stereotypes. We all know them. And just when you thought they were safely in your past, they’re back.

The Big Blue Door Jam presents the best of the worst, the best of the best, and the best of the plain-old real life “Castes and Cliques” stories.

Tonight at 8pm, Joel Jones and Jennifer Jones will be hosting the third Big Blue Door Jam at Sweethaus’s new location, 843 W. Main Street. Entrance is $5.

What is a Big Blue Door Jam?

There are two ingredients: a microphone, and a person with a story to tell. These two things are guaranteed every third Thursday of the month, while locations and themes change. Come ready to laugh, cry and enjoy the complete candidness of your neighbors. Think you have what it takes to get behind the mic? Then sign up to tell a story at October’s Big Blue Door Jam!

Volunteer judges will pick a monthly winner to be showcased at the end of the year Big Blue Door Slam. Get there early to become a judge!

Big Blue Door is a great resource in Charlottesville for those looking to improve their writing and storytelling skills, or to just have fun! It offers improv comedy, screenwriting and storytelling classes and workshops, as well as many other cool events.
