“In response to amazing feedback from the first two years of The Festy Experience, the talent, party, vibe, and hospitality of The Festy Experience will be brought to you throughout the year in the Charlottesville area.”

If the winter blues have got you hankering for festival season, it’s good to know the Festy has got your back.  Motivated by the desire to keep the carefree festival vibe going year-round, the Festy Presents brings you a series of shows and jam sessions to get you through the dismal winter months.  The series’ featured artists are some you may have spotted in the festival’s first two years running or a few new faces you can expect to see this fall.

Tonight, head downtown to the Southern Café and Music Hall for the High Country Bluegrass Jam, held every first Tuesday of the month.  This event is a jam session, so pack your guitar, fiddle, spoons, or whatever you’ve got and join some of the area’s top bluegrass musicians in a night of good old pickin’ and grinnin’.  Tonight’s jam will be led by members of your festival hosts, the Infamous Stringdusters.  You can visit the event’s facebook page to RSVP and guarantee your spot.  Doors open at 7 pm.

If one night of pickin’ just isn’t enough, head out to the Devil’s Backbone Brewery in Nelson County every first Wednesday of the month for a continuation of the fun.  Both events are free for participants and spectators, and are sure to lift your spirits.

For more on the Festy Presents or a sneak peak at this year’s festival, visit the Festy’s official site or check them out on facebook. The Festy 3 will take place from October 5-7 at the Devil’s Backbone Festival Grounds.
