It’s Time for The UNEARTHING

Months of preparation, weeks of buzz, and now – it’s opening night: The UNEARTHING is here.

unearthing premiere

Creator and Director, local artist and activist Zap McConnell, set out many months ago to make sense of the complex areas and experiences of her life – activism, dance, education, and art. The UNEARTHING is the product of her artistic process, combining into one two-week long, multi-layered performance, art installation, and saloon.

The education began weeks ago, with a workshop series hosted by The Bridge PAI, encouraging community members to discuss complex subjects such as borders and cultural exchanges, to name a few. The performances will be the culmination of education and these complex discussions with imagination-bound entertainment, tackling themes of “energy, exchange, borders, and unearthing the past.

“Ultimately, the most important thing to me is to encourage our imagination—to brush it off, give it a massage, wake it up,” McConnell said in an interview with The Hook.

So get your ticket for The UNEARTHING fast – and get ready for your own personal unearthing.
