With 19 vendors and 35 artisans, there will be crafts (and Christmas gifts) galore at this year’s Artisans Studio Tour. The tour will be held from 10am-5pm this Saturday and Sunday in Charlottesville and neighboring counties. For a complete list of studios, click here!

The first tour dates back to 1994, when a group of artisans in the Charlottesville area decided to raise awareness for the artisan community in the region. Every year participant’s work must be approved, so that only the best crafts may be shown. This tradition has carried on, so you can look forward to one of the best public collaborations of  different artisans from the area. Ranging from furniture to jewelry, stained glass to wood turning and more, you are sure to find something to add to your own collection, or the perfect gift.

Not convinced? The Tour also offers a Passport Program, in which visitors can have their Passport stamped at each studio visited for a chance to win $50-$300 credit with the artisan of their choice! Food and drink will be provided at each studio, as well.

The Tour will include such artisans as Janice Arone, who graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and now creates anything from functional dinnerware and bathroom sinks to garden sculptures in Charlottesville; Anita Whitney, jewelry maker since 1987 who uses exciting color combinations and works in the Charlottesville area and the lower keys of Florida; and Dan Hunt, who builds furniture out of his Crozet studio.

Come check out the 32 other talented artisans, there will be something for everyone!
