Anniversary Series: The Berlin Crisis of ’61
Wednesday, November 2 @ 7 pm

The Center for Politics will examine the 50th anniversary of the Berlin Crisis. As part of the Anniversary Series, the panel will look back at the consequential meeting between President John F. Kennedy and Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev in Vienna, the ensuing crisis and the building of the Berlin Wall. Speakers will include:

– Dr. Hope Harrison, Professor of History at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs
– Dr. Jackson Janes, Executive Director of the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies
– Dr. Sergei Khrushchev, Senior Fellow at Brown University’s Watson Institute for International Studies
