Like art? Like wine? Then join the Piedmont Council of the Arts for their monthly Art Drinks! event!

Stop by Market Street Wineshop’s Downtown location this Wednesday from 5:30-7:30pm to rub elbows with art enthusiasts while sampling some delicious beverages.

On the second Wednesday of every month, artists, art organizations, and art enthusiasts gather at a rotating Cville location to meet people within the art community, swap stories, and indulge in a few drinks.

The event is entirely open to the public and admission is free.

This Wednesday’s event will also feature a raffle. Prizes include tickets to PCA’s “Spring for the Arts” event or a Charlottesville Ballet performance.

Guests can also sample wine and beer from Market Street Wineshop’s extensive selection.

Market Street Wineshop has been a Charlottesville fixture since 1986 and is a local favorite for both wine and beer tastings. The shop offers wine from all over the world, as well as local selections. It also carries a wide selection of beers, ranging from porters and stouts to lagers and ales.

In addition to its wide beverage selection, Market Street Wineshop sells bread from Albemarle Baking Co. and Breadworks, and a selection of coffees, teas, pastas and cheeses.

Art Drinks! is designed to promote the Piedmont Council of the Arts, the arts agency for Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Among other things, the Council works to promote local artists and expands arts opportunities for various groups in the Charlottesville community.

The event will take place at Market Street Wineshop’s Downtown location- 311 East Market Street.
