McIntire Plaza is proving itself a shape-shifter these days. A Mystery in Common, Carpe Donut, and Allied Yoga all found recent homes at the plaza known for hot spots such as Circa and Cville Coffee. And that’s not all. Crazy Horse Studio is on the move, headed to a new location next to the upcoming Whole Foods on Hydraulic Road.

What’s filling it’s doors, you may ask? Well, none other than Great Harvest Bread Company, a chain that prides itself in recruiting the darn nicest people possible. The bakery is expected to open in late spring, managed by the husband-and-wife duo, Matt Monson and Kath Younger, blogger of “Kath Eats Real Food.” Stay tuned.

“When the thought of opening our own Great Harvest bakery came to mind, we had to choose a city. Close your eyes, point at the map? Not so much.

Charlottesville was high on our list, mostly because we had traveled here and knew the vibe of the city was full of life.”
