Ever wanted a glimpse at the more eclectic side of the Charlottesville art scene?
Then consider coming out for October First Friday’s at the WVTF Gallery. This Friday, Kaki Dimock, Executive Director of Charlottesville’s day homeless shelter The Haven, shows us a different aspect of herself with her art show, Hiding in Plain Sight, presented by New City Arts.
Her ink drawings deal with complex themes of homelessness, safety, and even touch on the Trayvon Martin case. Having never received any artistic training, Dimock manages to showcase her talent while creating images that leave viewers thinking.
